Mi Futuro Spring 2014

Patient care providers from Santa Rosa Community Health Center, Petaluma Health Center, and Kaiser Permanente volunteer to accomplish the night.

Students are assigned to tables with healthcare mentors
​for pizza dinner & meet-your-mentor Q&A games. 

Interactive med stations hosted by healthcare professionals introduce students to a specialty skill.

Cultural awareness introduced as students view Half-the-Sky, a documentary on worldwide socio-economic oppression for girls. 
Students break up into small groups and discuss humanitarian issues and consequent health impact.

  1. Promote Mental Health wellness among youth.
  2. Inspire youth to pursue behavioral & primary healthcare careers.
  3. Support underrepresented & disadvantaged youth to pursue health careers to strategically develop a more culturally & linguistically competent healthcare workforce. 
  4. Encourage total health by advocating higher education attainment, a key social determinant of health.
